Free Resources and Services at the Kirkland Health & Wellness Fair

The Kirkland Health & Wellness Fair is set to take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. at Juanita High School, providing residents with access to essential health services free of charge.

Attendees can benefit from various health screenings, including blood pressure checks and HIV testing, along with vaccinations available through the Washington Department of Health’s Care-a-Van program. Councilmember Penny Sweet emphasized the importance of community health, stating, “A thriving community starts with health and safety. ” The fair will also include local organizations offering information on human services resources. To accommodate all community members, language support will be available, and the event aims to be inclusive. Families can enjoy food, music, and activities while participating in the fair.

A giveaway of free bicycle helmets will also take place while supplies last. This collaborative effort involves the City of Kirkland, King County Promotores Network, and other local health organizations to enhance public health awareness and accessibility.
