Issaquah Softball Team Shines in Regional Tournament and Celebrates 50 Years of Little League Softball

The Issaquah Little League Softball program recently celebrated the achievements of its Majors All-Star team, which competed in the regional finals in California after winning state and district tournaments. The team, comprised of girls ages 11-12, showcased their skills against seven other states, with excitement surrounding their participation, including being featured on ESPN. Tiffany Erickson, the commissioner of the league, expressed pride in the girls’ accomplishments and the positive experiences gained from the tournament. Additionally, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Little League Softball, a program that has grown to serve over 300,000 participants worldwide. Erickson emphasized the important role sports play in empowering young women, helping them become role models and advocates for themselves.

The Issaquah Little League Softball program has experienced significant growth, setting enrollment records over the past three years and fostering a supportive community. The league is open to youth aged 4-16, providing opportunities for skill development and social engagement.
