Liberty High senior named Press-Citizens Student of the Week

Brynn Davis, a senior at Liberty High School, has been recognized as the Press-Citizen’s Student of the Week for her exemplary leadership and involvement in school activities. She co-captains the Liberty Drumline and serves as managing editor of the yearbook, fostering a sense of community among her classmates. In addition to her school roles, Davis volunteers with the Liberty volleyball team and coaches at the Bolts Volleyball Club. The Student of the Week poll closed on September 18, and a new poll will open on September 22, allowing community members to nominate deserving students. Other nominees this week included Parker Beck, a junior at Solon High School, who actively participates in multiple extracurricular activities, and Nora Cole, a senior at Iowa City High School, who founded the "Roots and Chutes" environmental club.

Angel Garcia Castro from Regina Catholic High School and Reed Hagan from Iowa City West High School were also recognized for their significant contributions. These nominations underscore the impact of student leadership in the Iowa City area. The Student of the Week program runs throughout the academic year, highlighting the achievements of local students.
