Heritage Distilling wins best flavored whiskey award

Gig Harbor, WALocal News

Gig Harbor’s Heritage Distilling Co. has achieved a significant milestone, winning the Best Flavored Whiskey award for its Cocoa Bomb Chocolate Whiskey at the prestigious Whiskey Magazine’s World Whiskies Awards. This accolade represents Cocoa Bomb's third win in the competitive craft spirits industry and advances the whiskey to compete for the title of World’s Best Flavored Whiskey later this year. Despite this success, Heritage Distilling’s stock has faced a steep decline since its NASDAQ debut under the ticker CASK, dropping from around $4 to approximately $1. 08.

Insider purchases by the company’s executives indicate a belief in the potential for recovery and growth. In addition to its award-winning whiskey, Heritage Distilling sold out its Salute Series: Battle of Iwo Jima – 80th Anniversary Edition in just three weeks, generating $20,000 for the Marine Raider Foundation. The distillery has also expanded its payment options by accepting Bitcoin on its e-commerce platform, positioning itself strategically in the evolving market. With the recent addition of former Starbucks executive Troy Alstead to its board, the company aims to strengthen its leadership and market presence. Overall, Heritage Distilling continues to navigate challenges while celebrating its achievements in the craft spirits sector.
