Gang Members With Illegal Guns Caught By Snohomish County Sheriff in Everett

Everett, WALocal News

A Snohomish County Sheriff K9 deputy observed a vehicle with known gang members avoiding him on June 9 in Everett. Upon inspection, the deputy found a stolen firearm in plain view, confirming it had been reported stolen out of Tacoma. All four individuals, aged 17 to 19, were prohibited from possessing pistols due to their age. The vehicle was impounded, and a search warrant executed on June 15 uncovered the stolen firearm and a second untraceable "ghost gun" with a 3D-printed frame. This incident underscores the ongoing challenge of illegal firearms and gang activity in the region.

Proactive policing by the sheriff's department aims to enhance community safety and deter criminal behavior. The presence of modified and untraceable firearms poses significant risks. Local authorities continue to prioritize efforts to combat gun violence and gang-related crime.
