The Everett Police Department reported a barricaded suspect involved in a domestic violence incident at an apartment on Oakes Avenue. The Region 1 SWAT team responded, blocking off Oakes Avenue between 36th and 37th Streets to ensure public safety. Police obtained a search warrant to address the situation, which involved the suspect being armed. Negotiations led to the suspect's peaceful arrest around 2 PM without further incident. The Region 1 SWAT team, formed to enhance efficiency, consists of 36 members from both the Everett Police and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
