The Perennial Path A Walk Talk Series Powerhouse Pollinator Plants

Everett, WALocal News

WSU Extension Master Gardeners of Snohomish County will host a free educational program on May 17, 2025, focusing on "Powerhouse Pollinator Plants" at Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens. The event features Lee Borgatt, Co-Manager of the Master Gardener Perennial Border Demonstration Garden and Board Member of the Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens. Participants will explore the significance of pollinators and learn about various plants that attract them, as well as how to grow these plants in their own gardens. The program, which does not require registration, will begin at noon at the entrance columns of the Arboretum. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring questions to engage with the speaker.

This educational initiative highlights the importance of maintaining a healthy ecosystem through gardening. With over 200 feet of mixed perennial displays, the demonstration garden serves as a key resource for local gardeners. The program aligns with WSU's mission to provide science-based education to enhance gardening practices in the community.
