Landon DuPont, a 15-year-old defenseman for the Everett Silvertips, won the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy, recognizing him as the WHL Rookie of the Year. The Calgary native led all rookies with 60 points in 64 games, including 17 goals, the highest by a Silvertips defenseman since the 2019-20 season. His performance featured a +31 defensive rating, placing him third among all rookies. DuPont also shone in the postseason, accumulating 15 points over 10 playoff games. He expressed gratitude towards his teammates and coaches for their support throughout the season.

This award marks DuPont as the third Silvertips player to earn this accolade, joining Peter Mueller and Kyle Beach. Additionally, he is the first 15-year-old to win the trophy since Connor Bedard in the 2020-21 season. DuPont's achievements reflect both individual talent and the strong team dynamic within the Silvertips organization.
