2025 Earth Day Happenings Include Rare Recycling Opportunities

Snohomish County will celebrate Earth Day with several recycling events on April 26, providing residents with opportunities to recycle electronics, batteries, and Styrofoam. The Snohomish County Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources will host a free electronics recycling event at Evergreen State Fair Park from 10 a. m. to 2 p.

Interstate All Battery Center anticipates even greater participation in its annual recycling event, which last year attracted over 2,400 vehicles and diverted 162,000 pounds of hard-to-recycle materials from landfills. Residents can bring clean Styrofoam to WSU Everett’s collection event, which will run from 12 p. m. to 2 p.

The Energy Block Party hosted by Snohomish County PUD will include activities for children, an electric vehicle show, and giveaways, reinforcing the importance of community engagement in sustainability efforts.
