Emergency responders from the Everett Fire Department attended to a vehicle collision with a home in South Everett today, resulting in two injuries. Upon arrival at the 9700 block of 18th Avenue West, firefighters discovered that the driver of a Silver Hyundai Tuscon SUV and the homeowner were injured by debris from the crash. Both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center for treatment. The Everett Police Department is investigating the incident, which involved the SUV crashing through a concrete pillar and wooden support beam, leaving a substantial hole in the house. As the holiday season approaches, fire officials reminded the public to practice safe driving, especially during wet weather.
