Detectives Seek Publics Help to Identify Suspects in Halloween Hit and Run in Everett

On Halloween night, Snohomish County deputies responded to a hit-and-run where 47-year-old Chris Bender sustained serious injuries after being struck by a Ford F-150. The incident occurred around 9:50 PM in Everett, WA, as the truck drove through a neighborhood, stealing candy bowls from porches. Witnesses reported that the vehicle nudged Bender before accelerating and running over him, leaving him with a broken leg, rib, and concussion. A nearby adult who tried to grab the truck was dragged and suffered minor injuries. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark red Ford F-150 from 2015 or newer, and detectives do not expect any obvious damage.

Authorities are actively investigating the case and encourage the public to provide any information. This incident highlights the dangers of reckless driving, particularly in residential areas during festive times. The community remains on alert as detectives work to identify the suspects involved.
