Escape Everett Narrowly Escapes a Box Truck Plowing Through It

Everett, WALocal News

A box truck narrowly avoided crashing into Escape Everett, a local escape room, after the driver suffered a medical emergency while turning. Witnesses reported that the truck made a full U-turn from Maple Ave to Hewitt Ave before colliding with the building at 2920 Hewitt Ave. Aaron Davis, a witness, described seeing the driver having a seizure and attempted to help, but the door was locked. Emergency responders arrived seven minutes later, breaking the window to assist the driver, who regained coherence within 10 to 15 minutes. The escape room experienced minimal damage, as the truck stopped just an inch from the large glass window.

Public Works promptly replaced the damaged walk signals, completing the repairs by 2 PM. The incident highlights the importance of safety measures in urban areas, especially near pedestrian zones. Local businesses like Escape Everett rely on community safety to maintain their operations.
