Snohomish Countys Willis Tucker Ballfield Park is Now Lit

Snohomish County has completed the Willis Tucker Park Ballfield Lighting Project, allowing for evening play at Field 2. The installation of six new light poles took place in August and September 2025, culminating in a dedication event on October 17, 2025, featuring the Mill Creek Little League team. Musco Sports Lighting, LLC donated the energy-efficient lighting system, enhancing safety for players. County Executive Dave Somers praised the project for providing safer recreational opportunities year-round. Councilmember Jared Mead noted the collaboration among the county, Mill Creek Little League, and the Washington Recreation and Conservation Office as a model for community partnerships.

This project received $302,500 in funding through the RCO's Youth Athletic Facilities Grant Program. Sharon Walker, Division Director of Snohomish County Parks & Recreation, expressed excitement about the project expanding the usability of the popular field. The upgrades reflect the county's commitment to vibrant and safe recreation for all residents.
