Port of Everett Seaport Chief of Operations to Retire New Chief Named

Tim Ryker will take over as Chief of Seaport Operations at the Port of Everett on October 1, following Carl Wollebek's retirement. Ryker, who joined the port as Director of Marine Terminals, has over 20 years of experience in maritime operations. He will manage the second largest customs district in Washington and aims to enhance operational efficiency while fostering relationships with both international and domestic customers. With over 60% of jobs in Snohomish County linked to trade, Ryker's role is critical for the local economy. He will be joined by a new Commercial Strategy Officer to lead business development.

Wollebek commended Ryker's leadership and expressed confidence in his ability to continue the Port's growth. The transition plan will ensure a smooth handover until Wollebek's retirement on January 1, 2026. Wollebek has contributed significantly to the Port's expansion, supporting 40,000 jobs and generating $433 million in taxes during his tenure.
