Nonprofit Petco Love invests in the Everett Animal Shelter

The Everett Animal Shelter is set to benefit from a $20,000 grant awarded by Petco Love, enhancing its capacity to care for pets in Snohomish County. Petco Love, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of pets, has invested nearly $421 million in animal welfare since its inception in 1999. The organization collaborates with over 4,000 partners to facilitate the adoption of more than 7 million pets nationwide. Susanne Kogut, president of Petco Love, highlighted that this grant is part of a broader commitment involving over $12 million in grants to local organizations aimed at eliminating unnecessary euthanasia. Glynis Frederiksen, manager of Everett Animal Services, stated that the funding will significantly enhance their ability to provide care for lost and at-risk pets.

The Everett Animal Shelter has been serving the community for over 30 years, reuniting lost pets and facilitating adoptions. Each year, the shelter cares for more than 1,500 dogs, creating opportunities for brighter futures for pets and their owners.
