AquaSox Win Northwest League Championship

The Everett AquaSox captured the 2025 Northwest League Championship with a 6-3 victory over the Eugene Emeralds on Saturday night. Charlie Pagliarini hit a leadoff home run, giving the AquaSox an early lead, but the Emeralds responded with three runs in the second inning. Tai Peete's solo home run and Luis Suisbel's two-run blast later shifted the momentum back to Everett. Nick Payero pitched four innings, surrendering three runs before Gabriel Sosa and others closed out the game. The AquaSox added two insurance runs in the seventh and eighth innings to cement their win.

This championship marks a significant achievement for the AquaSox, who had to overcome a challenging series. The team will begin the 2026 season on April 3 against the Spokane Indians. Additionally, the Lead The Way Foundation, a new initiative by former Sheriff Adam Fortney, aims to support local youth with leadership programs starting in October.
