DoorDash Delivery Gone Wrong Driver Intentionally Sets Car on Fire

Everett, WALocal News

A DoorDash driver crashed into a tree and intentionally set his vehicle ablaze on August 14, 2025, in Lynnwood. After the incident, he fled the scene but was quickly located by police hiding under a parked car. Officers extinguished the fire, and drug recognition expert Officer Orlosky determined the driver was under the influence of methamphetamines. The driver confessed to the crash and the subsequent actions while he was supposed to be delivering food. He was booked for arson, DUI (drugs), and hit-and-run, currently held at Snohomish County Jail in Everett.

The incident highlights concerns regarding impaired driving and public safety. Notably, the food order was never delivered due to the driver's reckless behavior. This case raises questions about the accountability of food delivery services and the safety of their drivers.
