A high-speed crash in Everett claimed the life of a 45-year-old man and left a woman and a 3-year-old child injured. The vehicle veered off the I-5 off-ramp at 41st Street, flipping multiple times and causing the engine block to separate, which ignited a brush fire in the area. Emergency responders quickly extinguished the fire, and the injured were taken to Providence in Everett for treatment. The Washington State Patrol is conducting the investigation, with temporary closures on the northbound I-5 on and off-ramps to 41st Street. Local authorities have not provided an estimate for when the ramps will reopen.
