Everett Street Pianos Are Back For the 2025 Edition

Everett, WALocal News

The “Everett Street Tunes” public art installation returns for its 2025 edition, featuring seven decorated pianos scattered across various locations in the city. This initiative invites both experienced and novice pianists to perform, enhancing community engagement through music. The 2025 edition has three fewer pianos than last year, but they are strategically placed to reach a wider audience, with a new location in South Everett. Key sites include the Angel of the Winds, both branches of the Everett Public Library, and Hotel Indigo. Local businesses such as Erickson Furniture and Pro Piano Movers contributed to the pianos' maintenance and tuning.

The program began in 2010 and resumed after a hiatus due to Covid-19, now celebrating its third consecutive year. Community members are encouraged to report any misuse of the pianos to preserve this public art initiative. The project reinforces the city's commitment to public art and community engagement through music.
