Everett, WALocal News

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit arrested Keilani Rae Songcuan, 24, for her involvement in a home invasion homicide in South Everett that occurred in August 2022. Irah Sok, 36, was shot and killed by armed intruders who forced entry into her home while she lay in bed with her 7-year-old child. Two male accomplices, Kevin Thissel, 28, and Chris Johnson, 23, were arrested in August 2024 and are currently held in federal custody. During the invasion, the suspects zip-tied Sok's husband and ransacked the home, stealing luxury items worth thousands of dollars. Following the incident, the victim's husband sought help from a neighbor, leading to a 911 call.

Songcuan was taken into custody in Renton and faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and first-degree robbery, with a bail set at $2 million. The investigation took several months, aided by the Kent Police Department. Concerns about violent crime in the area remain heightened as this case unfolds.
