Former Anchor Pub Owner, Christian Sayre, Sentenced to 109 Years in Prison

Everett, WALocal News

Christian Sayre, the former owner of Anchor Pub, was sentenced to 109 years in prison after being convicted on 16 felony charges, including multiple counts of rape and indecent liberties. The Snohomish County Superior Court's decision concludes a multi-year investigation that began in September 2021 when DNA evidence linked Sayre to a 2020 sexual assault case. Over the course of the investigation, authorities uncovered a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior, including a notebook with over 30 women's names and hard drives containing child pornography. Mayor Cassie Franklin acknowledged the survivors' courage and the critical role of victim advocacy in achieving justice. The investigation also led to charges against Sayre in Hillsboro County, Oregon, where he faces additional sexual assault allegations.

Detective Susan Logothetti commended the survivors for their bravery, which ultimately stopped Sayre's continued predatory behavior. The Everett Police Department remains dedicated to supporting survivors and ensuring accountability for such crimes. This case underscores the importance of thorough investigations and the commitment to justice, regardless of the time required.
