The City of Ellensburg will conduct two Community Conversation Workshops on August 20 and September 6, 2025, at the Hal Holmes Community Center to discuss proposed amendments to Chapter 9 of its Comprehensive Plan, which addresses Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. These workshops aim to engage residents in structured discussions and gather a range of viewpoints that will inform a subsequent Common Ground Workshop scheduled for October 4, 2025. Participants will be organized by viewpoint to ensure a comprehensive understanding of community opinions. Trained facilitators will lead the discussions to maintain a respectful atmosphere. The outcomes from these workshops will be utilized to develop suggested solutions for Chapter 9, which will be presented to the City Council.
