This $3 million project, funded through a federal Surface Transportation Program grant, includes comprehensive improvements such as a mill and overlay of Water Street, 145 upgraded ADA ramps, and five intersections equipped with advanced bicycle detection technology. The new bus stop, requested by the Kittitas County Auditor, aims to assist voters in reaching the courthouse.

The bus shelter features art by the late Dick Elliott, designed to evoke themes of motion and transportation.
