"Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence" has begun filming in Chula Vista, reviving the cherished horror-comedy franchise that originated in San Diego in 1978. Co-creator Costa Dillon shared how the film's concept evolved from a light-hearted idea among high school friends into a multi-generational project. Noor Razooky, a local actress and Valhalla High School graduate, plays the role of Angela, a marine biologist with a connection to tomatoes. She described her involvement in the film as a "full-circle moment" and recalled a personal experience with tomato plants. The production will showcase various San Diego locations, including Mission Bay and the USS Midway Museum, enhancing local engagement.

Dillon humorously warned audiences to "beware of your vegetables," hinting at the film's playful take on artificial intelligence. The film aims to entertain while connecting with both old and new fans of the franchise. "Organic Intelligence" is expected to hit theaters for a limited run around Halloween.
