Ramp closures and lane reductions scheduled for work on Lynnwood Link Extension

Sound Transit contractors will implement multiple lane closures in Lynnwood as part of the Lynnwood Link Extension project. The northbound I-405 off-ramp to southbound I-5 and the right lane on the southbound I-405 on-ramp will close from 11 p. m. Saturday, June 21, until 4 a. m.

Sunday, June 22. Additional closures will occur on southbound I-5 between 44th Avenue West and 196th Street Southwest from 9 p. m. to 4 a. m.

nightly until June 23. The eastbound and westbound 164th Street Southwest on-ramps to southbound I-5 will close from 10 p. m. June 22 until 4 a. m.

June 23. Lastly, the northbound I-5 off-ramp to westbound SR 104 will be closed from 9 p. m. June 26 until 5 a. m.

June 27. These disruptions aim to facilitate ongoing construction work for the transit extension, which is part of a broader effort to improve regional transit infrastructure. The Lynnwood Link Extension project is designed to enhance connectivity in the region and is expected to significantly impact local traffic patterns. Residents and commuters should plan for delays and seek alternate routes during these times.
