A 63-year-old registered sex offender from Bremerton was arrested in Lynnwood for allegedly sexually assaulting a massage business employee in Edmonds. The Edmonds Police Department's Problem Solving Emphasis Team (PSET) conducted a nearly two-week investigation, utilizing surveillance techniques to track the suspect. Officer Hui Xing's proficiency in Chinese facilitated communication with the victim, leading to essential details about the incident. The suspect was charged with indecent liberties and booked into Snohomish County Jail, where he later posted a $100,000 bond for release. The police department has urged other massage employees who may have experienced similar assaults to come forward.
