Edmonds turns out for a gala Pride Month finale

PrideFest drew over 300 attendees to Edmonds Civic Field on Saturday, celebrating the LGBTQIA2S+ community as Pride Month 2025 concluded. Organized by the newly formed Edmonds Pride nonprofit, the event featured a variety of performances, vendors, and activities designed to foster inclusivity. "Our mission is to host events, create leadership opportunities, and provide education that supports, strengthens, and connects the LGBTQIA2S+ community," stated Director Rowan Soiset. The festival, running from 2-6 p. m.

, also welcomed local officials, including Mayor Mike Rosen and State Sen. Marko Liias, who emphasized the importance of community support. Founded in late 2024 with backing from the city, Edmonds Pride aims to create a space for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and their allies. The diverse programming included art activities and food trucks, catering to all age groups. Edmonds Pride's efforts highlight a commitment to celebrating local identities and fostering connections within the community.

The organization plans to continue its work in promoting inclusivity and support for the LGBTQIA2S+ population in the area.

Gas tax will rise in Washington on July 1
