Summer teen cooking classes at Edmonds Waterfront Center starting July 24

Edmonds Waterfront Center invites teens to join hands-on cooking classes starting July 24, in collaboration with Verdant Health Commission. Each 90-minute session focuses on teaching essential culinary skills while promoting healthy eating habits through the preparation of delicious recipes. Experienced instructors will guide participants in safe kitchen practices and encourage experimentation with plant-based ingredients. Class themes include dishes like pizza-inspired zucchini boats and blackened fish tacos. Registration for the classes opens July 1, targeting teens aged 13-18.

Participants can sign up by calling 425-774-5555 or visiting the online registration portal. This initiative aims to empower youth with cooking skills that can lead to healthier lifestyle choices. The classes will run through October, providing ample opportunities for skill development.
