Duvall Community Clean-Up Day Scheduled for October 11

Duvall, WALocal News

Waste Management will host a Community Clean-Up Day in Duvall on October 11, from 9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. at the Taylor Landing Boat Launch.

Residents can dispose of bagged trash, household recyclables, and bulky items, but hazardous waste and electronics will not be accepted. The event aims to promote cleanliness and safety in the community, especially as the rainy season approaches. Residents are encouraged to prepare emergency kits stocked with essentials like food, water, and first-aid supplies. Keeping storm drains clear of debris is crucial to prevent flooding, as anything entering the drains flows untreated to the Snoqualmie River. The city emphasizes the importance of having a family communication plan during emergencies.

Volunteers have been actively involved in spreading awareness about storm drain pollution through stencils. For more information, residents can contact the Public Works Director via email.
