Duvall, WALocal News

The Duvall Cultural Commission has initiated two mural projects this summer as part of its Biennial Art Plan to enhance community engagement and celebrate local artistry. Local artist Alex Kimbel is painting “Birds of the Valley” at Mini Mart, emphasizing the beauty of Snoqualmie Valley’s bird life. At 1st & Virginia, artist Brenda Choi is creating “Duvall Through the Ages,” a mural that showcases the city’s history and invites community participation through paint days. These projects aim to foster a strong sense of community and creativity in Duvall. Additionally, the Duvall Harvest Festival will take place on September 13, featuring a variety of activities, including live music and competitions for attendees.

Residents can register for contests like Rooster Crowing and Handmade Crafts to win ribbons and prizes. The festival will also include free activities for all ages, along with food trucks and a beer garden for those 21 and over. Volunteers are encouraged to participate in the festival preparations, contributing to the community spirit.
