Broncos linked to land grab for potential future stadium Report

Denver, COLocal News

The Denver Broncos have purchased 10 properties in Lincoln Park for $146 million, leading to speculation about a future stadium site. Acquisitions were made through newly formed LLCs, with some sellers restricted by nondisclosure agreements. A Broncos spokesperson confirmed ongoing evaluations of multiple options in the Denver metro area but provided no details on the property purchases. Real estate attorney Lea Ann Fowler, connected to the Broncos' legal team, managed the transactions but did not respond to requests for comment. Local broker Aviva Sonenreich criticized the inflated prices of the properties, emphasizing their prime location.

The Broncos' lease at Empower Field at Mile High ends in 2031, intensifying discussions about relocation or renovation. Potential alternative sites include Lone Tree and Aurora, with Burnham Yard being a favored option due to its proximity to public transit. However, Burnham Yard may require additional land to accommodate a stadium.
