MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell liable for defamation, must pay 2.3M

Denver, COLocal News

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell was found liable for defamation by a federal jury in Denver and ordered to pay $2. 3 million to former Dominion Voting Systems executive Eric Coomer. The court determined Lindell engaged in a civil conspiracy to spread false claims about election fraud. Lindell will owe Coomer $440,500 personally, while his company, previously known as FrankSpeech, must cover $1. 9 million in damages.

Coomer, who previously served as director of product strategy and security for Dominion, sought $62. 7 million in damages. His lawsuit claimed that Lindell amplified false accusations, including calling him a "traitor. " Lindell's defense argued that his statements were protected speech, but the jury ruled against him. This case adds to Lindell's ongoing legal issues, as he has faced previous lawsuits for similar allegations.

Lindell plans to appeal the jury's verdict.
