Colorado restaurant wins James Beard award
Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder won the James Beard award for Outstanding Restaurant, affirming its status in the culinary world. Led by restaurateur Bobby Stuckey, the restaurant outperformed four competitors at the 35th annual ceremony in Chicago. Stuckey celebrated the hospitality industry’s diversity, stating, "If you are new to this country and don't speak the language, the hospitality industry is here for you. " Alongside Frasca, several Colorado restaurants were recognized as finalists, including Poulette Bakeshop for Outstanding Pastry Chef and Yacht Club for Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service. The event also honored Salvador Alamilla of Amano in Idaho as the best chef in the Mountain region, which includes Colorado.
Frasca, first nominated in 2016, has garnered multiple awards, including Michelin Stars in 2023 and 2024. The Frasca Hospitality Group operates several restaurants in Colorado, including Tavernetta and Sunday Vinyl in Denver. Last year, the team expanded with a new Tavernetta location inside the Four Seasons Resort Vail.
