A guide to Denver-area outdoor pools

The outdoor pool season kicks off in Aurora, Denver, and Lakewood, with varying opening dates and admission fees. Aurora's pools opened on May 24, featuring drop-in costs starting at $6 for adults. Denver will welcome swimmers starting June 6, offering a $50 outdoor pool pass and drop-in rates from $3. 50. Lakewood's residents enjoy free access with memberships, while two more sites are set to open mid-June.

Notably, Swansea and Mestizo Curtis pools will not open this season due to ongoing construction. Daily hours vary, with most pools opening at 11 a. m. or 1 p. m.

and closing around 6:30 p. m. All outdoor pools will close by September 1 for Aurora and August 10 for Denver. The city aims to provide more cooling options as temperatures rise.
