Is Colorado getting flattened by clean energy rollbacks?

Denver, COLocal News

The Colorado Rockies recorded their 21st consecutive series loss, a new baseball record, following a 4-3 defeat to the Chicago Cubs. This loss reflects the team's ongoing struggles, with no majority wins against any opponent since September. Concurrently, federal actions pose a significant threat to Colorado's clean energy policies, as both the House and Senate voted to strip states of the ability to exceed EPA standards for clean vehicles. Colorado Energy Office CEO Will Toor criticized these federal moves, stating they could lead to increased energy costs and pollution. The state has renewed its clean cars and trucks mandate in 2023, but these federal rollbacks could hinder progress.

Toor remains hopeful that the Senate will restore essential clean energy subsidies, emphasizing the need for protective measures to uphold Colorado's environmental initiatives.
