The City and County of Denver is seeking skilled AI vendors

Denver, COLocal News

The City and County of Denver is actively seeking skilled AI vendors to enhance city operations and improve the resident experience through a new request for proposal (RFP) issued on March 27, 2025. This initiative builds on the momentum created by the DenAI Summit, the first city-led conference focused on leveraging artificial intelligence for social good. Mayor Mike Johnston highlighted the potential of AI to transform the city, expressing enthusiasm for finding partners committed to responsible AI development. The RFP aims to establish a pre-qualified bench of vendors who can deliver innovative, scalable, and secure AI solutions tailored to the specific needs of the city. Evaluation criteria will include vendors' technical capabilities, innovation potential, compliance with security standards, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Chief Information Officer Suma Nallapati noted the importance of harnessing AI to create a smarter, more responsive city. This initiative is a significant step toward realizing Denver's vision of leveraging technology for improved city performance and quality of life. Interested vendors must submit their proposals online by April 15, 2025.
