Expanded Waste Collection Services

Denver, COLocal News

Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will adjust solid waste collection schedules starting January 2025. The revised schedule will feature weekly trash and compost collection, bi-weekly recycling, and every-nine-week large item pickups. These changes align with the city's goals of enhancing resiliency, vibrancy, and operational efficiency. The initiative aims to improve recycling and compost diversion rates while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Residents can access their updated collection schedules via the Denver Trash and Recycling App.

Furthermore, Cart Maintenance requests will be addressed from Tuesday to Friday beginning January 6, 2025. To ensure proper service, residents should place carts at the curb for 24 hours after scheduled collection. These adjustments reflect Denver's commitment to improving waste management services for its residents.
