Boulder bears spotted at court, up a pole, on the stairs

Denver, COLocal News

A small black bear was spotted outside the Boulder Justice Center on Tuesday, as reported by the Boulder County District Attorney's Office. The DA's Office humorously remarked that if the bear were seeking legal resolution, the charges would be dismissed. Additionally, another bear climbed a utility pole near Lyons before finding refuge in a tree. A separate sighting indicated a bear on the Manitou Incline near Colorado Springs, further illustrating the area's bear activity. These occurrences are not surprising, given Boulder County's proximity to natural habitats and wildlife.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife continues to monitor bear behavior and provides guidance to residents about living in bear country. The frequency of bear sightings raises awareness about wildlife interactions in urban areas. Residents are encouraged to secure trash and avoid attracting bears to reduce encounters.
