This initiative comprises two buildings with a total of 58 apartments, all priced for households earning 60% of the Area Median Income, with monthly rents ranging from $995 to $1,600. The project is a collaboration between minority-owned developer Imagine Group and Evergreen Real Estate Group, reflecting a commitment to enhancing economic opportunities in the South Side. Community engagement played a crucial role in shaping the project, leading to adjustments based on local feedback. The Chicago Department of Planning and Development provided substantial support through $18 million in Tax Increment Financing and additional funding sources.

Mayor Johnson emphasized that such investments are vital for attracting people, businesses, and jobs to the area.
