The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced significant traffic impacts due to ongoing resurfacing work on North DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Effective immediately, a single lane will be closed in the southbound direction between Irving Park Road and LaSalle Drive from noon on September 20 until 9:00 a. m. on September 22. In addition, all southbound lanes between Belmont Avenue and LaSalle Drive will be fully closed starting at 9:00 p.

m. on September 21, lasting until 9:00 a. m. on September 22. This action has been necessitated by the discovery of potholes on the milled surface, which compromised the roadway's condition.

CDOT aims to improve pavement conditions and ensure driver safety ahead of forecasted rainstorms.
