The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has officially unveiled a transformative redesign of the Clark and Devon streetscape, aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety and beautifying the community. This redesign also features a renovated plaza at Clark Street and Schreiber Avenue, complete with decorative pavers, landscaping, and seating. As part of the Vision Clark Street Corridor Master Plan initiated by the Rogers Park Business Alliance in 2018, the project seeks to create a lively commercial corridor and improve the overall quality of life for residents. Additional enhancements include new sidewalks, improved lighting, and shortened crossing distances for pedestrians, which aim to boost safety and accessibility.
