The Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection has announced the final Chicago Small Business Expo for 2024, scheduled for October 5 at Malcolm X College. This free event is designed to empower both aspiring and current business owners by providing access to vital resources and educational workshops. The Expo will commence with a networking breakfast, followed by an exhibition featuring over 30 nonprofit and government agencies. Baron Waller, a notable entrepreneur and franchise owner of Culver’s, will deliver the keynote address, sharing insights from his successful business journey. Mayor Brandon Johnson stressed the significance of small businesses as the backbone of local communities, stating that the Expo offers essential tools for success.
