The City of Chicago has confirmed that the NASCAR Chicago Street Race will return in 2025, concluding a three-year agreement with the Chicago Park District. The inaugural race held in 2023 was a resounding success, generating an impressive economic impact of $108. 9 million for the city. In addition to the financial benefits, NASCAR has committed to supporting Chicago communities by sponsoring youth participation in the Chicago Park District Summer Day Camp program and co-developing STEM curricula in partnership with local schools. The organization also hosted a “STEAM Fest” event aimed at engaging students in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

Currently, an analysis is underway to assess the economic impact of the 2024 race, which further emphasizes the significance of these events for the local economy.
