SPF To Bring Pickleball Courts To Hyde Park, Irving Park This Year
SPF, Chicago's leading indoor pickleball facility, will expand with new courts in Irving Park and Hyde Park by the end of 2025. The Lincoln Park flagship location, which opened in January 2024, has seen 26,000 visitors, showcasing the growing popularity of the sport. Co-founder Rich Green aims to foster community engagement and accessibility through these expansions. The new facility in Irving Park will offer autonomous access for 24/7 play and will include championship dimension courts and an SPF Training Academy led by local professionals. SPF is also collaborating with Toss & Spin to create dedicated pickleball courts on the South Side, scheduled to open on November 3.
This multi-sport facility will include various sports areas, enhancing the community's recreational options. Green highlights the mental and social benefits of pickleball, emphasizing its accessibility for all. With membership options and a new all-access program launching soon, SPF is set to further integrate pickleball into Chicago's culture.
