Parsons Chicken Fish Closing Andersonville Location This Month After Ownership Sells The Business
Parson’s Chicken & Fish will close its Andersonville location on October 19, concluding a four-year presence in the neighborhood. The restaurant's lease is up in November, leading to its sale by the Land and Sea Dept. , which operates several other well-known venues in Chicago, including Lost Lake and Longman and Eagle. Although the buyer's identity has not been disclosed, the sale included restaurant equipment and a transferrable liquor license, but not the Parson’s name or intellectual property. The closure has drawn attention after a real estate listing for the space was posted in late summer, raising questions among residents about the future of the establishment.
Known for its fried chicken, fish, and Negroni slushies, Parson’s has built a loyal customer base during its time in Andersonville. The restaurant expressed gratitude towards its patrons on social media, highlighting the memories created over the years. This site has a history of turnover, as Parson’s was the third restaurant to occupy the storefront at 5721 N. Clark St. , following Stone Fox and Pork Shoppe.
As Parson’s prepares to close, its other locations in Logan Square and Lincoln Park will remain operational, ensuring the brand continues to serve its loyal customers in those areas.
