Hidden Cove Patrons Sing Farewell To Beloved Lincoln Square Karaoke Bar
The Hidden Cove karaoke bar in Lincoln Square will close after 60 years of operation, with its final day scheduled for Sunday. Owner Flavius Ardelean plans to redevelop the site into a mixed-use building. In anticipation of the closure, patrons have gathered for farewell karaoke sessions, reminiscing about the bar's vibrant community spirit. Customer Kristen Peon shared that the Cove made her feel like a rock star, while bartender Michele Irizarry highlighted the camaraderie among regulars. Since the '90s, the bar has been known for its late-night karaoke, contributing to its popularity.
Trocchio, the co-owner, aims to preserve the bar's legacy by seeking a new location nearby. He has met with local stakeholders to discuss potential options. Despite the closure, staff plans to maintain the community spirit by hosting karaoke at the Red Room Comedy Club.
