Chicago Will Warm Up To The Mid-80s This Week After Cold Stretch

Chicago, ILLocal News

Chicago will shift from a recent cold snap to warmer temperatures, with highs projected to reach the mid-80s by the end of the week. The National Weather Service reported that after lows in the 40s and highs barely in the 70s, the temperature will gradually increase, starting with low 70s on Monday. By Wednesday, temperatures could spike to 86 degrees, with similar warmth expected on Thursday and Friday. The nearby Lake Michigan will influence local temperatures, keeping lakeshore communities cooler than inland areas, which may see highs in the 80s. Dry conditions are likely to persist, with sunny and partly cloudy skies dominating the week.

A slight chance of rainfall is predicted for Tuesday, particularly in northern regions. Normal early September temperatures typically hover in the high 70s. While next weekend's temperatures remain uncertain, the community anticipates a welcome return to warmth.
