Inaugural Move At The Shed Fest Kicks Off At Salt Shed Next Month

The inaugural Move at the Shed festival will occur on September 21 at the Salt Shed in Chicago, running from 11 a. m. to 7 p. m. The festival will feature a variety of wellness activities, including a live music yoga class led by Jamila Woods and a laughter meditation session with ambient musician Laraaji.

Additional activities include run clubs and cardio classes, with a $15 community pass available for access to the fairgrounds and vendor experiences. Mary McKeen, the venue's alternative events manager, emphasized the festival's focus on health and self-care while maintaining an art and music-centered atmosphere. This marks the Salt Shed's first all-day wellness festival since its opening in 2022, reflecting a growing interest in wellness practices. The venue has become a popular destination for outdoor shows and events, expanding its offerings to include unique experiences. Attendees can also enjoy access to sauna experiences, cold plunges, and healthy food options.

The festival aims to provide a relaxing environment for attendees to unwind and connect with the community.
