" The Chess Center is relocating to a more accessible Downtown location, enhancing its ability to host tournaments and serve casual players. William Guerrero, founder of the Chess Club, reported rapid growth from a single table to multiple tables within months. The club, which meets three times a week in Pilsen, aims to create a friendly environment for players of all levels.
Guerrero is eyeing a new venue in central Chicago to further enhance the club’s reach. Both organizations highlight increased accessibility as a critical factor in chess's resurgence.
