Riot Mike Gets A John Stamos Tattoo To Bring Full House Star To Riot Fest

Chicago, ILLocal News

John Stamos will perform with the Beach Boys at Riot Fest, following founder Mike Petryshyn's tattoo dedication to bring him on board. Petryshyn got a tattoo of Stamos’ name and a melting stick of butter, referencing a previous festival sculpture. This effort marks the culmination of a 12-year pursuit to feature the “Full House” actor at the festival. Stamos has a list of demands for his appearance, including a Stamos lookalike contest and a Greek-style pizza named “The Stamos Supreme,” which Giordano’s has agreed to create. The festival runs from September 19-21 in Douglass Park and will host major acts like Blink-182 and Green Day.

Tattoo artist Kevin Leary noted the straightforward nature of the tattoo process, which took about an hour. Stamos expressed disbelief over Petryshyn's commitment during a video call. Riot Fest's unique blend of music and quirky demands highlights its vibrant culture and community engagement.
